In 2021, the Benelux crab and crab meat market was finally on the rise to reach $X after four years of decline. Overall, consumption, however, recorded a perceptible slump. Over the period under review, the market attained the maximum level at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, consumption remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, the export price in Benelux amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 8.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 17%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2018 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
