The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 27% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons, and then dropped significantly in the following year.

In value terms, exports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses fell modestly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by 52%. Over the period under review, the exports of hit record highs at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Based on 2022 figures, export price for other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses decreased by -18.9% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when the export price increased by 48% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Over the period under review, imports of attained the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then shrank markedly in the following year.

In value terms, imports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses declined to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, posted resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 20% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

Imports by Country

The Netherlands (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) dominates hoses structure, together mixing up 98% of total imports. Luxembourg (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Belgium (with a CAGR of +5.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the Netherlands ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses in Benelux, comprising 69% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belgium ($X), with a 29% share of total imports.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while Belgium ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+11.1%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
