Pear Market Size in Benelux

The Benelux pear market dropped notably to $X in 2021, waning by -25.2% against the previous year. Overall, consumption, however, posted a remarkable increase. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the market remained at a somewhat lower figure.

The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, pear imports expanded to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a perceptible reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 39%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

The Netherlands was the largest importer of pears in Benelux, with the volume of imports resulting at X tons, which was approx. 75% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Belgium (X tons), creating a 24% share of total imports.
