As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, cattle hide and skin exports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, saw a pronounced setback. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

The Netherlands represented the main exporter of raw hides and skins of cattle in Benelux, with the volume of exports reaching X tons, which was approx. 71% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Belgium (X tons), mixing up a 28% share of total exports.
