In value terms, recovered paper imports declined to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 92% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then fell in the following year.

The Netherlands was the major importing country with an import of about X tons, which reached 79% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Belgium (X tons), constituting a 21% share of total imports.

The Netherlands experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of recovered paper. Belgium (-5.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
