After three years of decline, overseas purchases of sheep or lamb skin leather increased by 439% to X square meters in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 477%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In value terms, sheep leather imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 664% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X.
