The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +68.3% against 2018 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 83% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, skis exports rose remarkably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed a pronounced expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 72%. Total imports indicated a slight expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +69.3% against 2014 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 50%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2020, and then fell sharply in the following year.

The Netherlands was the key importing country with an import of about X tons, which amounted to 72% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Belgium (X tons), committing a 27% share of total imports.
