The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, unsaturated acyclic hydrocarbons imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports saw a modest increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 53%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

Belgium represented the major importer of unsaturated acyclic hydrocarbons in Benelux, with the volume of imports resulting at X tons, which was approx. 67% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by the Netherlands (X tons), mixing up a 33% share of total imports.
