The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 31%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The Netherlands represented the key exporter of vehicles not mechanically propelled in Benelux, with the volume of exports amounting to X units, which was approx. 78% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Belgium (X units), achieving a 22% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to non-propelled vehicle exports from the Netherlands stood at +5.8%. At the same time, Belgium (+23.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belgium emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Benelux, with a CAGR of +23.0% from 2012-2021. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 31%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
