In 2021, Belgium (X tons) represented the major exporter of wallpaper and wall coverings, generating 75% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the Netherlands (X tons), making up a 25% share of total exports.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +60.0% against 2018 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The Netherlands (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) prevails in imports structure, together creating 98% of total imports. Luxembourg (X tons) held a little share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by the Netherlands (with a CAGR of +6.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.
