In 2022, supplies from abroad of wood chips and particles increased by 40% to X cubic meters, rising for the fourth consecutive year after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate notable growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, wood chips and particles imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a resilient expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
