Argentina (X tons), China (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) were the main destinations of bromides, iodides and oxids thereof exports from Brazil, with a combined 51% share of total exports. The United States, South Africa, Italy, Germany and Taiwan (Chinese) lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 37%.

In 2021, Israel (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of bromides, iodides and oxids thereof to Brazil, accounting for a 51% share of total imports. Moreover, bromides, iodides and oxids thereof imports from Israel exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), threefold. The United States (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 19% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Israel stood at -4.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+1.7% per year) and the United States (+16.3% per year).
In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of bromides and bromide oxides, iodides and iodide oxides to Brazil, comprising 54% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Israel ($X), with a 21% share of total imports. It was followed by Chile, with a 14% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Germany stood at +5.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Israel (-4.8% per year) and Chile (-5.8% per year).
