In value terms, combined refrigerator-freezer exports declined to $X in 2022. Overall, exports recorded a slight reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 47%. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Argentina (X units), Paraguay (X units) and Bolivia (X units) were the main destinations of combined refrigerator-freezer exports from Brazil, with a combined 50% share of total exports. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2021, and then declined slightly in the following year.

In value terms, combined refrigerator-freezer imports rose significantly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 68%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

China (X units), Thailand (X units) and Mexico (X units) were the main suppliers of combined refrigerator-freezer imports to Brazil, together comprising 98% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Thailand (with a CAGR of +176.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
