Feldspar Market Size in Brazil

In 2021, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in the Brazilian feldspar market, when its value decreased by -16.2% to $X. In general, consumption enjoyed resilient growth. Over the period under review, the market attained the peak level at $X in 2020, and then contracted significantly in the following year.

China (X tons) was the main destination for feldspar exports from Brazil, accounting for a 44% share of total exports. Moreover, feldspar exports to China exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Italy (X tons), twofold. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 178% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020, and then declined in the following year.

In value terms, feldspar imports stood at $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 44% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Spain (X tons), Turkey (X tons) and Zimbabwe (X tons) were the main suppliers of feldspar imports to Brazil, together comprising 91% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Spain (with a CAGR of +51.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
