The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 49% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports of hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Argentina (X tons), Paraguay (X tons) and Peru (X tons) were the main destinations of exports of flexible tubes, pipes and hoses of plastics, without fittings from Brazil, with a combined 52% share of total exports. Uruguay, Venezuela, Russia, Mexico, Colombia, Lithuania, Chile, Bolivia, Finland and Latvia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 41%.

As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then reduced sharply in the following year.
