From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Uruguay stood at +1.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Argentina (+50.0% per year) and the United States (+11.8% per year).

The average mate export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, picking up by 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 37% against the previous year.
