As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, polyamide exports soared to $X in 2021. In general, exports enjoyed a mild increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 100%. Exports by Country

Argentina (X tons), Mexico (X tons) and Chile (X tons) were the main destinations of polyamide exports from Brazil, with a combined 65% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Turkey, Colombia, India, the United States, Italy, Taiwan (Chinese), South Korea, China, Peru and Trinidad and Tobago, which together accounted for a further 30%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Turkey (with a CAGR of +99.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Turkey, with a CAGR of +94.1%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average polyamide export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 35% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a mild downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 41%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Trinidad and Tobago ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2021, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in supplies from abroad of polyamides (in primary forms), when their volume increased by 26% to X tons. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the period from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, polyamide imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Germany (X tons), the United States (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of polyamide imports to Brazil, with a combined 52% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Belgium, Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Argentina and Switzerland, which together accounted for a further 41%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Belgium (with a CAGR of +48.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
