Razor Market Size in Brazil

After two years of decline, the Brazilian razor market increased by 13% to $X in 2021. Overall, consumption, however, saw a mild decline. Over the period under review, the market attained the maximum level at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Argentina (X tons), Ecuador (X tons) and Colombia (X tons) were the main destinations of razor exports from Brazil, together accounting for 74% of total exports.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 15%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of razor to Brazil, accounting for a 44% share of total imports. Moreover, razor imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Mexico (X tons), twofold. Greece (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 17% share.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
