The average stranded wire export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 62% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 52%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest stranded wire supplier to Brazil, accounting for a 47% share of total imports. Moreover, stranded wire imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by India (X tons), with a 4.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at +6.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+18.0% per year) and India (+20.8% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of stranded wire, ropes and cables to Brazil, comprising 50% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Turkey ($X), with a 10% share of total imports. It was followed by India, with a 5.5% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from China amounted to +9.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+6.4% per year) and India (+25.6% per year).

The average stranded wire import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, increasing by 9.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a mild decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average import price increased by 11%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the price for Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
