In 2021, the Brazilian sweet biscuit market was finally on the rise to reach $X for the first time since 2017, thus ending a three-year declining trend. In value terms, sweet biscuit exports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, total exports indicated slight growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the last nine years. Germany (X tons), Portugal (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of sweet biscuit imports to Brazil, together accounting for 63% of total imports. Spain, Poland, Argentina, China, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Denmark lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 25%.
