In 2022, overseas shipments of video game consoles (not operated by means of payments) decreased by -12% to X units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, exports, however, showed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by 718% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X units in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, video game console exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when exports increased by 829% against the previous year.
