The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 409% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Argentina (X square meters) was the main destination for silk fabric exports from Brazil, with a 49% share of total exports. Moreover, silk fabric exports to Argentina exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United States (X square meters), threefold. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Argentina amounted to -21.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (-9.1% per year) and Chile (+20.8% per year).
