Exports by Country

Romania (X tons) was the main destination for furnace burner exports from Bulgaria, with a 47% share of total exports. Moreover, furnace burner exports to Romania exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Germany (X tons), twofold. Latvia (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 13% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Romania totaled +85.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (+80.3% per year) and Latvia (+10.9% per year).

In value terms, Romania ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for furnace burners, mechanical stokers, mechanical grates and mechanical ash dischargers exports from Bulgaria, comprising 48% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 21% share of total exports. It was followed by Latvia, with a 9.7% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Romania amounted to +73.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (+52.1% per year) and Latvia (+4.2% per year).

Furnace burner imports into Bulgaria surged to X tons in 2021, rising by 59% compared with 2020. In general, imports, however, recorded a pronounced downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 143% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, furnace burner imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 39%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
