Romania (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main destinations of iron and steel wire exports from Bulgaria, together accounting for 52% of total exports. These countries were followed by Greece, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Poland, France, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Netherlands, which together accounted for a further 41%.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+12.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, total imports indicated tangible growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the last nine years.
