Turkey (X units), Russia (X units) and Poland (X units) were the main destinations of mould for glass exports from Bulgaria, together comprising 52% of total exports. These countries were followed by Romania, Germany, Spain, Greece, the Czech Republic and Ukraine, which together accounted for a further 35%.

In 2021, the average mould for glass export price amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 11% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a pronounced contraction. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Spain ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Bulgaria
In 2021, mould for glass imports into Bulgaria amounted to X units, approximately equating the year before. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 56%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, mould for glass imports stood at $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 22%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Italy (X units) constituted the largest mould for glass supplier to Bulgaria, with a 78% share of total imports. Moreover, mould for glass imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X units), tenfold. China (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 5.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Italy amounted to +42.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+7.8% per year) and China (+73.1% per year).
In value terms, Italy ($X), Turkey ($X) and Portugal ($X) were the largest mould for glass suppliers to Bulgaria, together accounting for 73% of total imports. China, Croatia, Romania and Greece lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 16%.
In terms of the main suppliers, China, with a CAGR of +67.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average mould for glass import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 12% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, faced a drastic downturn. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Portugal ($X per unit), while the price for Italy ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Romania (+1.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
