Greece (X tons) was the main destination for organo-inorganic compounds exports from Bulgaria, accounting for a 71% share of total exports. Moreover, organo-inorganic compounds exports to Greece exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Serbia (X tons), fourfold. The second position in the ranking was taken by Serbia ($X), with a 13% share of total exports. It was followed by Romania, with a 7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Greece amounted to +2.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Serbia (+12.7% per year) and Romania (-8.3% per year).

The average organo-inorganic compounds export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a modest expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 406% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2021, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Iran ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Croatia (+14.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Bulgaria
In 2021, supplies from abroad of organo-inorganic compounds (excluding organo-sulphur compounds) decreased by -35.3% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. In general, imports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 87%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, organo-inorganic compounds imports rose remarkably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a perceptible increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -27.1% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 65% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

China (X tons), India (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of organo-inorganic compounds imports to Bulgaria, together comprising 80% of total imports. The Netherlands, South Korea, Poland and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 17%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Poland (with a CAGR of +55.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and Poland ($X) appeared to be the largest organo-inorganic compounds suppliers to Bulgaria, with a combined 57% share of total imports.
