Turkey (X tons), Greece (X tons) and Serbia (X tons) were the main destinations of packaging materials exports from Bulgaria, with a combined 36% share of total exports. Italy, South Africa, Hungary, Poland, Oman, Cote d'Ivoire, North Macedonia, South Korea, Thailand and Jordan lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 45%.

Austria (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Romania (X tons) were the main suppliers of packaging materials imports to Bulgaria, with a combined 39% share of total imports. Germany, Turkey, Finland, Serbia, Poland, Slovenia, Italy, China, Sweden and Croatia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 53%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Finland (with a CAGR of +20.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Austria ($X), Germany ($X) and Poland ($X) were the largest packaging materials suppliers to Bulgaria, together accounting for 34% of total imports.
