The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 87% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest oxides of boron supplier to Bulgaria, accounting for a 68% share of total imports. Moreover, oxides of boron imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X tons), more than tenfold. Poland (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 2.5% share.
