In 2022, the average mattress export price amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 6.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average export price increased by 259%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Central African Republic ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Congo amounted to $X per unit.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Central African Republic (+2.3%).

In value terms, mattress imports reduced rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a pronounced setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 380% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, the United Arab Emirates (X units) constituted the largest supplier of mattress to Cameroon, with a 68% share of total imports. Moreover, mattress imports from the United Arab Emirates exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Saudi Arabia (X units), more than tenfold. France (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 5.4% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from the United Arab Emirates amounted to +18.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Israel (+14.6% per year) and Saudi Arabia (+69.8% per year).

In 2022, the average mattress import price amounted to $X per unit, surging by 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average import price increased by 33%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2016 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per unit), while the price for France ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Israel (+8.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
