Overall, imports, however, recorded a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 179%. Imports peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace imports rose to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a dramatic decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 150%. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Turkey (X units), France (X units) and India (X units) were the main suppliers of non-electric industrial furnace imports to Cameroon, together accounting for 71% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Turkey (with a CAGR of +13.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
In value terms, Turkey ($X), China ($X) and France ($X) were the largest non-electric industrial furnace suppliers to Cameroon, together accounting for 77% of total imports.
