In value terms, carbon electrode imports surged to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 103%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

China (X tons), the United States (X tons) and Japan (X tons) were the main suppliers of carbon electrode imports to Canada, together comprising 68% of total imports. France, Poland, Mexico, Spain and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 25%.
