In 2021, the Canadian capacitor market was finally on the rise to reach $X for the first time since 2017, thus ending a three-year declining trend. China (X tons), the United States (X tons) and Japan (X tons) were the main suppliers of capacitor imports to Canada, with a combined 63% share of total imports. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average import price increased by 38%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
