The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 67% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

The United States (X tons) was the main destination for camel and other animal meat exports from Canada, with a 87% share of total exports. Moreover, camel and other animal meat exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), more than tenfold. The Philippines (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to the United States amounted to -3.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Taiwan (Chinese) (-7.7% per year) and the Philippines (-8.2% per year).

The second position in the ranking was taken by Taiwan (Chinese) ($X), with a 2.4% share of total exports. It was followed by Guyana, with a 2.4% share.

Imports into Canada
In 2022, the amount of meat of camels and other animals imported into Canada reduced to X tons, with a decrease of -8.7% against the year before. In general, total imports indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +92.3% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 111% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then reduced in the following year.
In value terms, camel and other animal meat imports rose markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a perceptible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +127.7% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 99.9%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

New Zealand (X tons), Australia (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons) were the main suppliers of camel and other animal meat imports to Canada, with a combined 83% share of total imports. Portugal, the United States, Finland and China lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 17%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Portugal (with a CAGR of +26.2%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, New Zealand ($X) constituted the largest supplier of meat of camels and other animals to Canada, comprising 48% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by Australia, with a 15% share.
