The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when exports increased by 851%. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

China (X tons), Hong Kong SAR (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main destinations of phosphorus, arsenic and selenium exports from Canada, with a combined 67% share of total exports.

Overall, total imports indicated a mild increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the last nine years.
