In value terms, anti-freezing preparations exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, showed a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 1,685% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Uzbekistan represented the largest exporter of anti-freezing preparations and prepared de-icing fluids in Central Asia, with the volume of exports recording X tons, which was near 78% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tons), mixing up a 21% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to anti-freezing preparations exports from Uzbekistan stood at -9.2%. At the same time, Kazakhstan (+32.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kazakhstan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +32.9% from 2012-2021. In value terms, Uzbekistan ($X) remains the largest anti-freezing preparations supplier in Central Asia, comprising 89% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 10% share of total exports.
In Uzbekistan, anti-freezing preparations exports increased at an average annual rate of +13.5% over the period from 2012-2021.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 140% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a moderate increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 415%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2016 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Imports in Central Asia
Anti-freezing preparations imports surged to X tons in 2021, increasing by 16% on the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.6% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 25% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

Kazakhstan represented the main importing country with an import of around X tons, which recorded 55% of total imports. Mongolia (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Kyrgyzstan (X tons), Uzbekistan (X tons) and Tajikistan (X tons). All these countries together took near 40% share of total imports. Turkmenistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Kazakhstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of anti-freezing preparations and prepared de-icing fluids. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+11.2%), Uzbekistan (+9.9%), Mongolia (+7.5%) and Tajikistan (+1.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +11.2% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Turkmenistan (-3.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Kyrgyzstan (+7.2 p.p.), Uzbekistan (+6.2 p.p.) and Mongolia (+4.9 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by -3.5% and -14.4% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported anti-freezing preparations and prepared de-icing fluids in Central Asia, comprising 53% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Mongolia ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 12% share.
In Kazakhstan, anti-freezing preparations imports shrank by an average annual rate of -3.6% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Mongolia (+4.3% per year) and Uzbekistan (+38.4% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Central Asia amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 34% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible setback. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per ton), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
