Exports in Central Asia
In 2022, overseas shipments of articles and accessories for billiards decreased by -41.2% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, exports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 1,607%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, billiard accessoires exports dropped markedly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a tangible expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 1,205%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.
Exports by Country
Kazakhstan dominates exports structure, reaching X tons, which was approx. 98% of total exports in 2022. Uzbekistan (X kg) took a minor share of total exports.
Kazakhstan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the articles and accessories for billiards exports, with a CAGR of +19.6% from 2012 to 2022. Uzbekistan (-17.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Uzbekistan (+1.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Kazakhstan (-1.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest billiard accessoires supplier in Central Asia, comprising 99% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 0.9% share of total exports.
In Kazakhstan, billiard accessoires exports increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the period from 2012-2022.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Central Asia amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of -9.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price faced a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the export price increased by 114% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per ton), while Uzbekistan stood at $X per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (-12.4%).

Imports in Central Asia
In 2022, approx. X tons of articles and accessories for billiards were imported in Central Asia; with an increase of 80% on 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, billiard accessoires imports expanded notably to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 59% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Uzbekistan (X tons) was the largest importer of articles and accessories for billiards, committing 51% of total imports. Kazakhstan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 28% share, followed by Turkmenistan (15%). Mongolia (X tons) and Tajikistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of +26.3%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Uzbekistan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported articles and accessories for billiards in Central Asia, comprising 52% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 25% share of total imports. It was followed by Turkmenistan, with a 15% share.
In Uzbekistan, billiard accessoires imports increased at an average annual rate of +60.4% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kazakhstan (-9.0% per year) and Turkmenistan (-0.9% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Central Asia stood at $X per ton in 2022, which is down by -38.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the import price increased by 65% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Tajikistan ($X per ton), while Mongolia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+27.0%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the import price figures.
