Artificial Fur Market Size in Central Asia

In 2022, the Central Asian artificial fur market decreased by -34.5% to $X, falling for the second consecutive year after four years of growth. Over the period under review, consumption showed a noticeable reduction. Kyrgyzstan represented the largest exporting country with an export of about X tons, which resulted at 54% of total exports. Uzbekistan (X tons) took a 33% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Kazakhstan (14%).

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Kazakhstan (with a CAGR of +55.3%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

In value terms, the largest artificial fur supplying countries in Central Asia were Kyrgyzstan ($X), Uzbekistan ($X) and Kazakhstan ($X), together comprising 99.9% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Turkmenistan (with a CAGR of -1.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported artificial fur in Central Asia, comprising 82% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 10% share of total imports. It was followed by Kyrgyzstan, with a 4.7% share.
