From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Kazakhstan stood at +41.6%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Uzbekistan (+48.3% per year) and Kyrgyzstan (-5.7% per year).

In 2022, the export price in Central Asia amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a abrupt descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the export price increased by 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per ton), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (-4.1%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in Central Asia
In 2022, purchases abroad of brakes and servo-brakes was finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports continue to indicate buoyant growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, brakes and servo-brakes imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 78% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
Uzbekistan (X tons) and Kazakhstan (X tons) represented the key importers of brakes and servo-brakes in 2022, accounting for approx. 45% and 38% of total imports, respectively. It was distantly followed by Kyrgyzstan (X tons), creating a 12% share of total imports. Mongolia (X tons) and Turkmenistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
