It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X units), mixing up a 19% share of total imports. The following importers - Mongolia (X units), Kyrgyzstan (X units) and Turkmenistan (X units) - together made up 12% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to breathing appliances imports into Kazakhstan stood at -4.6%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+11.4%), Kyrgyzstan (+10.9%) and Mongolia (+4.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported breathing appliances and gas masks in Central Asia, comprising 73% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Mongolia, with a 5.7% share.

In Kazakhstan, breathing appliances imports shrank by an average annual rate of -6.7% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Uzbekistan (+13.9% per year) and Mongolia (+7.3% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2022, falling by -10.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a perceptible slump. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mongolia ($X per unit), while Uzbekistan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
