Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, dicalcium phosphate imports declined rapidly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a noticeable expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 184%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.

In 2021, Mongolia (X tons) represented the key importer of calcium hydrogenorthophosphate (dicalcium phosphate), generating 56% of total imports. Kazakhstan (X tons) held a 17% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Uzbekistan (16%), Kyrgyzstan (5.3%) and Tajikistan (4.7%).

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 54%. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per ton), while Tajikistan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mongolia (+7.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
