The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, ceramic statuette imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, showed a perceptible setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 109% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Kazakhstan (X tons) was the major importer of ceramic statuettes and other ornamental articles, comprising 62% of total imports. Kyrgyzstan (X tons) held a 28% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Uzbekistan (7.3%). Tajikistan (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.

Imports into Kazakhstan decreased at an average annual rate of -9.5% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Tajikistan (+29.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Tajikistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +29.7% from 2012-2021. Kyrgyzstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Uzbekistan (-7.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan increased by +15 and +1.6 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported ceramic statuettes and other ornamental articles in Central Asia, comprising 71% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with a 24% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 2.9% share.
