In 2022, Kazakhstan (X kg) was the largest exporter of cloves, creating 67% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X kg), comprising a 33% share of total exports.

In value terms, clove imports shrank significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Kazakhstan was the main importer of cloves in Central Asia, with the volume of imports resulting at X tons, which was near 75% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X tons) and Kyrgyzstan (X tons), together generating a 23% share of total imports.
