Over the period under review, imports saw a moderate expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 82%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, copper powder imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 194%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
Uzbekistan (X tons) and Kazakhstan (X tons) prevails in imports structure, together creating 85% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Tajikistan (X tons) and Turkmenistan (X tons), together creating an 11% share of total imports. Kyrgyzstan (X kg) took a little share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of +182.3%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest copper powder importing markets in Central Asia were Uzbekistan ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Tajikistan ($X), together accounting for 95% of total imports.
In terms of the main importing countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +229.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
