In 2022, shipments abroad of industrial, laboratory or bakery ovens increased by 7.9% to X units, rising for the third year in a row after two years of decline. Over the period under review, exports posted a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by 463%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, industrial, laboratory or bakery oven exports stood at $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 1,749%. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Kazakhstan represented the key exporter of industrial, laboratory or bakery ovens in Central Asia, with the volume of exports recording X units, which was near 66% of total exports in 2022. Uzbekistan (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 27% share, followed by Kyrgyzstan (4.9%). Tajikistan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to industrial, laboratory or bakery oven exports from Kazakhstan stood at +8.4%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+29.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +29.7% from 2012-2022. In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest industrial, laboratory or bakery oven supplier in Central Asia, comprising 72% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 27% share of total exports. It was followed by Tajikistan, with a 1.2% share.

In Kazakhstan, industrial, laboratory or bakery oven exports expanded at an average annual rate of +10.7% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Uzbekistan (+54.9% per year) and Tajikistan (+12.1% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in Central Asia amounted to $X per unit, falling by -3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, enjoyed a mild expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 616% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2021, and then dropped slightly in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+19.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, approx. X units of industrial, laboratory or bakery ovens were imported in Central Asia; waning by -18.2% compared with the year before. In general, imports, however, posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 91%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, industrial, laboratory or bakery oven imports shrank sharply to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 64% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2021, and then contracted sharply in the following year.

Kazakhstan (X units) and Uzbekistan (X units) were the main importers of industrial, laboratory or bakery ovens in 2022, recording near 51% and 37% of total imports, respectively. It was distantly followed by Kyrgyzstan (X units), generating a 10% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Kyrgyzstan (with a CAGR of +22.9%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X), Uzbekistan ($X) and Kyrgyzstan ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together comprising 95% of total imports.

Kyrgyzstan, with a CAGR of +12.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2022, waning by -7.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a abrupt downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 29% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
