Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per unit), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2020 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kyrgyzstan (+59.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Central Asia

For the third year in a row, Central Asia recorded growth in supplies from abroad of electrical insulators of ceramics, which increased by 195% to X units in 2022. Overall, imports enjoyed a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 727%. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

In value terms, ceramic electrical insulator imports fell slightly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 81% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Kazakhstan (X units) and Uzbekistan (X units) dominates imports structure, together committing 93% of total imports. Kyrgyzstan (X units) and Tajikistan (X units) held a little share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of +186.9%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest ceramic electrical insulator importing markets in Central Asia were Kazakhstan ($X), Uzbekistan ($X) and Tajikistan ($X), together comprising 92% of total imports.

Among the main importing countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +35.6%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.

The import price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2022, waning by -66.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price faced a dramatic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 500%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Tajikistan ($X per unit), while Kazakhstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Tajikistan (-11.4%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
