Over the period under review, imports posted strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 135% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In value terms, imports of flexible tubes, pipes and hoses of plastics, without fittings rose rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. In terms of the main importing countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +32.5%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the import price in Central Asia amounted to $X per ton, which is down by -8.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a perceptible setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the import price increased by 112%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mongolia ($X per ton), while Uzbekistan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
