In 2021, Kazakhstan (X kg) was the main exporter of furnace burners for liquid fuel, creating 77% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Kyrgyzstan (X kg), achieving a 23% share of total exports.
Exports from Kazakhstan decreased at an average annual rate of -17.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+40.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +40.8% from 2012-2021. While the share of Kyrgyzstan (+23 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Kazakhstan (-23 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest liquid fuel furnace burner supplier in Central Asia, comprising 85% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with a 15% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Kazakhstan stood at -24.2%.

The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, dropping by -34.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the export price increased by 49%. In 2021, supplies from abroad of furnace burners for liquid fuel was finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, liquid fuel furnace burner imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; afterwards, it flattened through to 2021.
Imports by Country
Kazakhstan dominates imports structure, reaching X tons, which was approx. 83% of total imports in 2021. Turkmenistan (X tons) took an 8.8% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Uzbekistan (5.9%). Tajikistan (X tons) held a relatively small share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to liquid fuel furnace burner imports into Kazakhstan stood at -2.0%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+91.1%), Turkmenistan (+11.4%) and Tajikistan (+9.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +91.1% from 2012-2021. Uzbekistan (+5.9 p.p.) and Turkmenistan (+5.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by -9% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported furnace burners for liquid fuel in Central Asia, comprising 88% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 6% share of total imports. It was followed by Turkmenistan, with a 2.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Kazakhstan was relatively modest. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Uzbekistan (+89.7% per year) and Turkmenistan (+1.0% per year).
