Heat Exchange Unit Market Size in Central Asia
The Central Asian heat exchange unit market was finally on the rise to reach $X in 2022, after two years of decline. Over the period under review, consumption, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of the market failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, heat exchange unit production expanded notably to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. The total production indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +7.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, production decreased by -5.7% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the production volume increased by 62% against the previous year. The level of production peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, production remained at a lower figure.

Exports in Central Asia
In 2022, heat exchange unit exports in Central Asia soared to X units, surging by 46% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a resilient expansion. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, heat exchange unit exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, exports posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 139%. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
Tajikistan was the main exporter of heat exchange units in Central Asia, with the volume of exports resulting at X units, which was near 53% of total exports in 2022. Uzbekistan (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 30% share, followed by Kazakhstan (15%).
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of +28.6%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest heat exchange unit supplying countries in Central Asia were Uzbekistan ($X), Tajikistan ($X) and Kazakhstan ($X), with a combined 97% share of total exports.
In terms of the main exporting countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +31.8%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Central Asia amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 41% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 65% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per unit), while Tajikistan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+2.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Central Asia
In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in supplies from abroad of heat exchange units, when their volume increased by 28% to X units. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a perceptible downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 71% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, heat exchange unit imports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a pronounced curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 83%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Kazakhstan represented the key importer of heat exchange units in Central Asia, with the volume of imports accounting for X units, which was approx. 66% of total imports in 2022. Uzbekistan (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 21% share, followed by Mongolia (5.9%). Turkmenistan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Imports into Kazakhstan increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+29.6%) and Mongolia (+10.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +29.6% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Turkmenistan (-24.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Kazakhstan (+24 p.p.), Uzbekistan (+21 p.p.) and Mongolia (+4.3 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Turkmenistan saw its share reduced by -44.8% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.
In value terms, the largest heat exchange unit importing markets in Central Asia were Kazakhstan ($X), Uzbekistan ($X) and Turkmenistan ($X), together comprising 94% of total imports.
Among the main importing countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +38.3%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2022, surging by 2.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per unit), while Mongolia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
