Kazakhstan dominates exports structure, amounting to X units, which was approx. 92% of total exports in 2021. The following exporters - Kyrgyzstan (X units) and Turkmenistan (X units) - each reached a 5.6% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to measuring instrument exports from Kazakhstan stood at +7.3%. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+13.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +13.6% from 2012-2021. In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest measuring instrument supplier in Central Asia, comprising 81% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with an 8.9% share of total exports.
In Kazakhstan, measuring instrument exports declined by an average annual rate of -6.1% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kyrgyzstan (+20.8% per year) and Turkmenistan (-31.5% per year).

The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, falling by -54.4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a perceptible slump. Overall, imports, however, recorded a noticeable decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 75% against the previous year. In value terms, measuring instrument imports stood at $X in 2021. In general, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of +23.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
