Uzbekistan was the largest exporter of jams, marmalades, fruit jellies, fruit or nut purees and pastes in Central Asia, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was approx. 68% of total exports in 2021. Kyrgyzstan (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Kazakhstan (X tons). All these countries together held near 30% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Uzbekistan was relatively modest. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kyrgyzstan (+8.7% per year) and Kazakhstan (+16.6% per year).

The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, with an increase of 35% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2012; afterwards, it flattened through to 2021.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton), while Kazakhstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In general, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Kazakhstan (X tons) was the largest importer of jams, marmalades, fruit jellies, fruit or nut purees and pastes, generating 62% of total imports. Mongolia (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 26% share, followed by Uzbekistan (5.5%). The following importers - Kyrgyzstan (X tons), Tajikistan (X tons) and Turkmenistan (X tons) - together made up 7.1% of total imports.
Imports into Kazakhstan decreased at an average annual rate of -1.2% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+48.4%), Tajikistan (+13.8%), Mongolia (+2.3%) and Kyrgyzstan (+2.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +48.4% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Turkmenistan (-8.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Uzbekistan (+5.5 p.p.) and Mongolia (+4.2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by -2.4% and -9.3% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported jams, marmalades, fruit jellies, fruit or nut purees and pastes in Central Asia, comprising 58% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Mongolia ($X), with a 25% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 9.1% share.
